Nyasha Gwatidzo was born in a rural village in Zimbabwe. She moved to the UK with her parents to continue her secondary education and gained a degree in Chemistry. She then went on to retrain at the Pellin Institute, Reading University and the Tavistock institute and gained an MA, to work with adults and children both in the UK and Southern Africa. She is a qualified psychotherapist, social worker, coach and mentor. She is also an author and multiple award winner for her work as a social entrepreneur and her community work through the charity Vana Trust, which she founded with her late mother Lucy Gwatidzo in 2003. Through her passion for children she has supported over 7,000 children and over 1,000 families.
